🇦🇺 Online support in Australia

Online speech and development support for families in Australia

From Multan we coach Pakistani-Australian parents in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in Urdu and English, and because Australia sits ahead of us, your morning is our morning too.

Support for children and families in Australia

Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan — we don’t have a branch in Australia. For families in Australia we work entirely online, in English or Urdu, and we point you to your own country’s services too.

Australia's Pakistani community has grown quickly over the last couple of decades, with the biggest hubs in Sydney and Melbourne and a strong presence in Perth. Many of the families we meet arrived as skilled migrants or students who stayed, and they are raising young children while getting to know a support system built around the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Medicare and school-based learning support. That system can be generous but bewildering, and a familiar Urdu-speaking voice helps parents feel less adrift while they work it out.

We are a single physical centre in Multan, led by speech and language therapist Mahnoor Baloch. We are not NDIS-registered and we hold no Australian branch; for families there we work only by video, coaching parents. What brings them is the shared language and understanding — being able to describe a child's speech or behaviour in Urdu, and being understood without a translation step.

Timing is one of the friendliest things about working with Australia. Because the eastern states sit several hours ahead of Pakistan, a mid-morning call in Sydney or Melbourne is still a comfortable morning for us, and even Perth lands gently — so families rarely have to compromise on when they meet us.

How we help

Working with families in Australia

We start by listening to where you are — whether you have looked into NDIS eligibility, whether your GP has referred your child under Medicare, whether the school has flagged a learning need — and what worries you most day to day. Then we agree a small home plan that supports whatever local services you are pursuing rather than duplicating them.

Between calls you lead and we coach. We show you how to invite language during everyday Australian routines, how to hold calm and consistent boundaries, and how to fold dressing, handwriting and self-care into small wins. Our free Grow tools give you Urdu and English activity sheets so the days between sessions have shape.

Our team covers speech therapy, ABA and behavioural support, special education, child psychology, developmental assessments and motor, handwriting and sensory-regulation skills. We do not have a licensed occupational therapist, so we describe that strand honestly as practical motor and daily-living coaching rather than clinical OT.

Who we tend to help in Australia

Many of our Australian families are Pakistani skilled-migrant parents in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, often with children born in Australia and growing up bilingual. Some are working out whether their child might be eligible for NDIS support and want a calm guide through the paperwork and the language; others are already using a local therapist and want a culturally-familiar second voice to help them keep the work going at home.

We also work with families who travel to Pakistan for long visits, or whose extended family moves between the two countries, and who want a child's progress to hold across the distance. Being based in Multan, we can keep coaching through those trips without a gap.

How the friendly time zone helps

The time difference actually works in everyone's favour here. With Sydney and Melbourne several hours ahead of Pakistan, a family can meet us mid-morning after school drop-off while it is still a normal morning for us, and Perth's smaller gap is easy too. That means sessions can happen at a genuinely good hour for a young child, rather than squeezed into a tired evening.

Sessions are a simple video call on a phone or laptop, in Urdu, English or a mix. We like to watch your child at play through the camera so we can coach on real behaviour in the moment, then pause and talk it through with you.

Local services

Getting help where you are, too

Alongside working with us online, here’s how families in Australia can reach support in their own area. Processes change, so always double-check locally.

NDIS and Medicare pathways

In Australia, eligible children can receive funded support through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and there are also early childhood approaches for younger children. Separately, your GP can guide you through Medicare-based options and referrals. Eligibility, funding and the early childhood pathways are detailed and do change, so speak with your GP and check the current NDIS information for your family's situation.

Community child health and school learning support

Community child-health services can help with early concerns about a young child's development, and once a child is at school, learning support is arranged through the school itself. What is available differs by state and by school, so ask your community health service or your child's school about the current options and how to access them.

FAQ

Questions from families in Australia

Are you an NDIS-registered provider?

No. We are not registered with the NDIS and have no Australian branch. We work with Australian families online only, as Urdu and English parent coaching and support. For a formal diagnosis or funded therapy you should use local licensed services and the NDIS or Medicare pathways, which we can help you understand.

Can you replace our local therapist?

No. We are the between-sessions coach who helps you carry a plan into daily life. Assessment and hands-on therapy belong with a licensed Australian provider; we work alongside them.

How does the time difference work?

Australia sits ahead of Pakistan — several hours for the eastern states, a little less for Perth — so a mid-morning call at your end is still a comfortable morning for us in Multan. It is one of the easiest time zones we work with.

Can you tell me if my child is eligible for NDIS funding?

No — eligibility decisions sit with the NDIS and the professionals who assess your child. What we can do is help you understand the process in Urdu or English and feel steadier as you go through it.

Which language do sessions run in?

Urdu, English or a blend. Many Pakistani-Australian parents are fluent in English but still find it easier to talk about their child, and their own worries, partly in Urdu.

We visit Pakistan for long stretches. Do sessions pause?

No. Because we are based in Multan, we can keep coaching you straight through an extended visit to Pakistan, so your child does not lose momentum.

Do you offer occupational therapy?

No. We do not have a licensed occupational therapist. We coach practical motor, handwriting and daily-living skills, and for clinical OT you would use a licensed Australian provider, often through the NDIS or Medicare.
