Child psychology and the whole family
A child does not get calmer if the two adults at home use two scripts. Family work is part of psychology here, not an optional add-on.
Written by the Inclusive Developmental and Therapy Center therapy team — our Speech & Language Therapist, psychology and ABA staff. This page is awaiting its clinical review.
Who has to be in the plan
The adults who actually put the child to bed. A helper who raises them on weekdays. Siblings who take the leftovers of everyone’s patience. Fathers and therapy, siblings, when parents disagree.
What we practise
One calm sentence at the doorway. A recovery that is not a lecture. A night-time script that does not undo the afternoon. Parent wellbeing is not selfish: looking after yourself, little reminders.
Family — questions parents ask
The father cannot come.
Then he gets one WhatsApp line from the plan so he is not the 9pm undo. We have seen this split across South Punjab. It is workable.
We are separated.
Tell us. Two houses need two copies of the same three lines, not a loyalty test for the child.
Is this family therapy?
It is child psychology with the family inside the plan. We do not run adult couple therapy.
How do we start?
A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes. Both adults are welcome. One is enough to begin.
Ask about family
A short, friendly conversation is the best first step. Call, text or WhatsApp us — we’ll listen and guide you, with no pressure.
