What a child psychology session looks like
The hour is how your child feels, copes and belongs in the family — anxiety, anger, low mood, a house on edge. It is psychology, not a prescription. Medicine sits with a paediatrician or psychiatrist.

The shape of the hour
You talk. The child plays or talks as they can. We name the feeling, the trigger, the thing that already helps at home. Parents stay inside the plan — a child does not get well in a closed room while the house runs the old script. Related: anxiety, big feelings, big feelings at home.
A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes. He does not diagnose medical conditions and does not prescribe.
When it is not psychology first
A language delay that looks like “defiance”. A hearing problem. ADHD that needs a paediatric look. We send those to the right door rather than counselling a child whose ears or words are the real load.
A session — questions parents ask
Is he a psychiatrist?
No. Clinical and child psychologist. Medication decisions sit elsewhere.
Do I sit in?
Often at the start. Then some time with the child, and you back in for the plan. Family work is not optional extras.
Will my child have to talk about trauma on day one?
No. We go at their pace. Play is allowed to be the language.
Female therapist?
Mahnoor, Akasha, Noor and Atika are women. Salman is a man. Tell us what your family needs and we will be straight about who is available.
