Sensory support in the classroom
A classroom is sound, chairs, fluorescent light and a surprise bell. We write two or three asks a teacher can try for ten days — a seat, a warning, a break — not a sensory-room fantasy.
Written by the Inclusive Developmental and Therapy Center therapy team — our Speech & Language Therapist, psychology and ABA staff. This page is awaiting its clinical review.
Asks that usually travel
A seat away from the door. A warning before the bell if anyone can give one. Movement that is allowed, not sneaked. Headphones only if the school will actually permit them. Classroom support, letter.
What we will not ask a teacher to build
A sensory gym. A one-to-one who does not exist. A promise the class will be quiet. The letter has to survive a real Pakistani school week.

School — questions parents ask

How do we start?
A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes. Bring the teacher’s one line, even if it is “distracted”.
