Online child-development coaching for South-Asian families in Vancouver and nearby Surrey
British Columbia runs its own early-intervention and school supports, distinct from the rest of Canada. From our centre in Multan, Pakistan, we coach South-Asian families across the Vancouver area online, in Urdu and English, while their children use BC's own provincial services.
Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan — we don’t have a branch in Vancouver. For families in Vancouver we work entirely online, in English or Urdu, and we point you to your own country’s services too.
The Vancouver area holds vibrant South-Asian communities, and the Pakistani families among them are woven into a wider South-Asian fabric that stretches strongly into neighbouring Surrey. Many of these parents want to talk about a child's speech, behaviour or learning in Urdu, with someone who understands the cultural context as well as the clinical one — and who will be honest about what British Columbia's own system can and cannot offer.
Our centre sits in Multan, Pakistan, led by speech-language therapist Mahnoor Baloch and a team covering speech therapy, behavioural support, special education, child psychology and developmental assessment. For the Vancouver area we work only online, only in Urdu and English, and only as parent coaching and support. We hold no licence and no office in British Columbia, and we say so plainly.
The crucial point for a BC family is that this province runs its own show. British Columbia has its own early-intervention and at-home style supports for young children and its own school districts handling learning needs — a structure that differs from Ontario or Alberta. Formal diagnosis and funded therapy live inside that BC system; we help you reach it and use it with more confidence.
Working with families in Vancouver
Vancouver-area parents usually reach us with a clear concern — a preschooler with very few words, a child who struggles with change, or a note home from a program that has worried them. We start in Urdu or English, listen to the whole story without an interpreter's meter running, and look at your child through short videos or a live session before we suggest anything.
Our coaching is practical and shaped to your household. For a late-talking child we build language into everyday Lower Mainland routines — the SkyTrain ride, the rainy indoor afternoons, bedtime — in Urdu and English together, treating bilingualism as the healthy norm it is. For behaviour, we teach evidence-based strategies adapted to a South-Asian family, often one with relatives close by in Surrey, rather than a one-size-fits-all script.
We also help you read the system. A BC assessment report or a school-district plan uses its own terminology, and it will not match what relatives in Toronto describe. We translate the meaning into plain Urdu, explain what it means for your child, and help you prepare precise questions for your next BC appointment so you get the most out of it.
Why the British Columbia difference matters
Families new to the Vancouver area sometimes expect the process they heard about from relatives in Ontario or Alberta, then find it does not line up. It does not line up because health and school support are provincial. BC's early-intervention and at-home supports, and its school districts, each have their own referral routes, their own vocabulary and their own eligibility rules.
We keep our guidance general and honest about this, steering you back to British Columbia's own channels rather than describing another province's path that would not help you. For families spread between Vancouver and Surrey — which often share caregiving across the family — that clarity saves real time and keeps the home practice we set genuinely aligned with the system your child will actually use.
The honest edges of our service
We are not licensed in British Columbia. We cannot issue a diagnosis that a BC school district or provincial program will accept, we cannot enrol your child in BC's funded supports, and we cannot provide in-person therapy. We also have no licensed occupational therapist on our team, so for formal handwriting, motor or sensory therapy we tell you honestly to use local BC services.
Within those edges, our value is real. A Vancouver-area family that understands their child, practises consistently at home, and arrives prepared to each BC appointment tends to gain far more from the provincial system. Online coaching stretches that local help further; it is never a replacement for it.

Questions from families in Vancouver
Are you licensed to provide therapy in British Columbia?
No. We are online only, based in Multan, Pakistan, and not a Canadian-licensed or BC-registered provider. We offer parent coaching and support by video in Urdu and English. For a formal diagnosis or funded, hands-on therapy, Vancouver-area families should use British Columbia's own provincial services.
I'm in Surrey rather than Vancouver proper — can you still help?
Yes. We coach families across the wider Vancouver area, including Surrey, entirely online. Because we work by video, your exact suburb does not change what we can offer, though your local BC services will be your own district's.
Is BC's system different from Ontario's or Alberta's?
Yes. Health and school support are provincial, and British Columbia runs its own early-intervention supports and its own school districts. Advice from relatives in other provinces often will not apply, so we point you to BC's own channels.
Can you diagnose my child for a BC school?
No. A diagnosis that a BC school district or provincial program will accept must come from a licensed local professional. We help you understand your concerns and prepare for that BC assessment, but we cannot provide it.
Do you offer occupational therapy?
We do not have a licensed occupational therapist. We can coach you on motor, handwriting and daily-living skills and sensory-regulation routines at home, but formal occupational therapy must come from local BC services.
Will raising my child with Urdu and English cause delays?
No. Bilingualism does not cause language disorders and is normal across the Vancouver area's South-Asian families. We help you support both languages at home.
Is there a free way to start?
Yes. Our free "Grow" tools give plain-language developmental guidance and are a sensible first step before booking a session.
