Online, Urdu-friendly child-development coaching for Calgary's Pakistani community
Alberta's system works differently from Ontario's, and Calgary's established Pakistani families deserve guidance that fits it. From our centre in Multan, Pakistan, we coach Calgary parents online in Urdu and English while they use Alberta's own provincial health and disability supports.
Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan — we don’t have a branch in Calgary. For families in Calgary we work entirely online, in English or Urdu, and we point you to your own country’s services too.
Calgary is home to an established, settled Pakistani community — families who have often been in the city for years, who know the winters, and whose children are growing up as Calgarians. Being settled does not remove the worry when a child is late to talk or struggles with behaviour, and it does not remove the wish to discuss something this personal in Urdu, with someone who understands both the clinical and the cultural picture.
Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan, led by speech-language therapist Mahnoor Baloch with a team covering speech therapy, behavioural support, special education, child psychology and developmental assessment. For Calgary we work only online, only in Urdu and English, and only as parent coaching and support. We have no office and no licence in Alberta, and we are precise about that.
What matters most for a Calgary family is that Alberta runs its own system. Health here is delivered through a single provincial health authority rather than the regional-unit model families might know from Ontario, and Alberta has its own supports for children with disabilities and its own school authorities. Formal diagnosis and funded therapy belong inside that Alberta system; our job is to help you use it with confidence.
Working with families in Calgary
Calgary parents usually come to us with a specific, concrete worry — a preschooler barely talking, a child melting down at every transition, or a school comment that has left them anxious. We begin in Urdu or English, hear the whole story without an interpreter's clock running, and then look at your child through short videos or a live session before we advise anything.
Our coaching is practical and shaped to your home. For a late-talking child we build language into ordinary Calgary routines — the drive to daycare, the long indoor days of winter, bedtime — in Urdu and English together, because bilingual homes are normal and healthy. For behaviour, we teach the same evidence-based strategies a good local team would, adapted to a settled South-Asian household rather than delivered as a generic script.
We also translate the system for you. An Alberta assessment report or a school plan can be hard to interpret, and the terminology differs from what relatives in Ontario might describe. We put it into plain Urdu, explain what it means for your child, and help you prepare focused questions for your next Alberta appointment so you get the most from it.
Why the Alberta difference matters to your child
Families sometimes assume Canadian services are the same everywhere and get confused when advice from relatives in Toronto or Brampton does not match what they encounter in Calgary. It does not match because health and school support are provincial. Alberta's provincial health authority, its family and disability supports, and its school authorities have their own referral routes, their own terminology and their own eligibility rules.
We keep our guidance general and honest about this, pointing you consistently back to Alberta's own channels rather than describing an Ontario process that would not apply to you. That alone spares Calgary families a lot of wasted effort chasing the wrong door, and it means the practice we set for home actually fits the system your child will move through.
What we will not claim to do
We are not licensed in Alberta. We cannot issue a diagnosis that a Calgary school authority or provincial program will accept, we cannot enrol your child in Alberta's funded supports, and we cannot deliver in-person therapy. We also have no licensed occupational therapist on our team, so for formal handwriting, motor or sensory therapy we tell you plainly to use local Alberta services.
Inside those limits we are genuinely useful. A Calgary family that understands their child, practises consistently at home, and comes to each Alberta appointment prepared tends to get far more from the provincial system. Online coaching multiplies that local help; it never stands in for it.

Questions from families in Calgary
Are you licensed to provide therapy in Alberta?
No. We are online only, based in Multan, Pakistan, and not a Canadian-licensed or Alberta-registered provider. We offer parent coaching and support by video in Urdu and English. For a formal diagnosis or funded, hands-on therapy, Calgary families should use Alberta's own provincial services.
Is Alberta's system really different from Ontario's?
Yes. Health and school support are provincial, and Alberta runs its own health authority, its own family and disability supports and its own school authorities. Advice from relatives in Ontario often will not apply, so we point you to Alberta's own channels.
Can you diagnose my child so a Calgary school will act?
No. Any diagnosis that an Alberta school authority or provincial program will accept must come from a licensed local professional. We help you understand your concerns and prepare for that Alberta assessment, but we cannot provide it.
Do you offer occupational therapy?
We do not have a licensed occupational therapist on our team. We can coach you on motor, handwriting and daily-living skills and sensory-regulation routines at home, but formal occupational therapy must come from local Calgary services.
Can you help while we wait for an Alberta assessment?
Yes. We give Calgary families structured home strategies and a consistent Urdu-speaking point of contact during the wait, without ever replacing the local assessment or therapy itself.
Will speaking Urdu and English at home hold my child back?
No. Bilingualism does not cause language disorders and is completely normal in Calgary's Pakistani community. We help you support both languages at home.
Is there a free starting point?
Yes. Our free "Grow" tools offer plain-language developmental guidance and are a good first step before any session.
