Urdu-and-English online child-development coaching for Ottawa's Pakistani families
In Canada's bilingual capital, Ottawa's Pakistani families balance English, French and Urdu at once. From our centre in Multan, Pakistan, we coach these parents online in Urdu and English through worries about speech, behaviour and learning, while their children use Ontario's publicly funded services.
Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan — we don’t have a branch in Ottawa. For families in Ottawa we work entirely online, in English or Urdu, and we point you to your own country’s services too.
Ottawa's Pakistani community is smaller and quieter than the sprawling ones in the Greater Toronto Area, but it is established and tightly knit — many families drawn to the capital through the public service, universities and professional work. Living in a bilingual city adds a particular wrinkle: services and schools often operate in both English and French, which can leave an Urdu-speaking parent feeling doubly outside the conversation about their own child.
Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan, led by speech-language therapist Mahnoor Baloch with a team spanning speech therapy, behavioural support, special education, child psychology and developmental assessment. For Ottawa we work only online, only in Urdu and English, and only as parent coaching and support. We have no office and no licence in Ontario, and we are careful never to imply otherwise.
Ottawa sits within Ontario's system, so the provincial pathways are the same as those a relative in Toronto would use — but the local, bilingual delivery in the capital can feel different on the ground. Formal diagnosis, funded therapy and school accommodations belong inside Ontario's services; our role is to help you understand your child and reach those services with clarity and calm.
Working with families in Ottawa
Ottawa parents typically come to us with a defined worry — a preschooler slow to talk, a child overwhelmed by transitions, or a comment from a program that has unsettled them. We begin in Urdu or English, hear the whole story without a rushed interpreter, and observe your child through short videos or a live session before offering any advice.
Our coaching is practical and fitted to your home. For a late-talking child we build language into everyday Ottawa routines — the winter walk bundled up, the drive to daycare, bedtime stories — in Urdu and English together, because bilingual and multilingual homes are entirely normal here. For behaviour, we teach evidence-based strategies tuned to a professional South-Asian household rather than handed over as a generic checklist.
We also help you cut through the paperwork, which in the capital may arrive in English or French. We translate an assessment summary or a school plan into plain Urdu, explain what it means for your child, and help you prepare focused questions for your next Ontario appointment so you take part as an informed parent, not a bystander.
Navigating a bilingual capital in your own language
In Ottawa, a parent can find themselves choosing between English- and French-language schools and services while still thinking about their child most naturally in Urdu. That is a lot of languages to hold at once, and it is easy to feel that the discussion about your child is happening over your head. Working with us, the core conversation — the worry, the plan, the progress — stays in your first language, with one consistent person who knows your child.
Because Ottawa's community is smaller, families here sometimes have fewer local parents to compare notes with than they would in Mississauga or Brampton. A calm, Urdu-speaking professional to check your instincts against — who will say honestly when something is common and when it is worth a local assessment — fills a real gap.
What we cannot do for an Ottawa child
We are not licensed in Ontario. We cannot issue a diagnosis that an Ottawa school board or provincial program will accept, we cannot enrol your child in funded services, and we cannot deliver in-person therapy. We have no licensed occupational therapist on our team either, so for formal handwriting, motor or sensory therapy we tell you honestly to use local Ottawa services.
Inside those limits we are genuinely helpful. An Ottawa family that understands their child, practises consistently at home, and comes prepared to each Ontario appointment usually gets more from the publicly funded system. Online coaching multiplies that local help; it is never a substitute for it.

Questions from families in Ottawa
Are you a licensed Ontario provider?
No. We are online only, based in Multan, Pakistan, and not a Canadian-licensed or Ontario-registered provider. We offer parent coaching and support by video in Urdu and English. For a formal diagnosis or funded, hands-on therapy, Ottawa families should use Ontario's publicly funded services.
Ottawa services often come in English and French. Can you help me keep up in Urdu?
Yes. That is a big reason capital families reach out. We keep the core conversation about your child in Urdu or English and help you understand reports and school plans that may arrive in English or French.
Our community here is small. Is that why families use you?
Often, yes. With fewer local Pakistani parents to compare notes with than in the GTA, an Urdu-speaking professional to check your instincts against fills a real gap for many Ottawa families.
Can you diagnose my child so an Ottawa school will act?
No. A diagnosis that an Ottawa school board or Ontario program will accept must come from a licensed local professional. We help you understand your concerns and prepare for that local assessment, but we cannot issue it.
Do you offer occupational therapy?
We do not have a licensed occupational therapist. We can coach you on motor, handwriting and daily-living skills and sensory-regulation routines at home, but formal occupational therapy must come from local Ottawa services.
Will raising my child with several languages cause delays?
No. Growing up with Urdu, English and even French does not cause language disorders and is common in Ottawa. We help you support your child across the languages they hear.
Is there a free way to begin?
Yes. Our free "Grow" tools provide plain-language developmental guidance and are a good first step before booking any session.
