Special education practice at home
Home learning is one skill in a short burst — a word family, a number to four, a sentence they can finish. Two hours of worksheets after school is not special education. It is a fight.

What to try this week
One subject. A timer. You start the first two items, then move away. Stop when the timer ends, even if it is unfinished, and tell the teacher how far you got. That is on homework battles. Skills underneath: early reading, early maths, older reading and writing.
When it is a learning difficulty, not a homework problem
Reading, spelling or writing that is hard even on a good day, in a quiet room. Then look at dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia rather than adding more copy.

At home — questions parents ask
Should I sit with them the whole time?
Sit to start. Then move. Hovering turns homework into a performance.
Tuition plus this?
Often the week is already too full. Read tuition overload before adding us on top of two tutors.
They can do it at school and not at home.
School has structure and a bell. Home has a tired body. See after school.
Can you coach us online?
Yes. A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes. See online learning support.
