Speech therapy practice at home
The clinic hour cannot outrun breakfast, bath and the walk to the door. Home speech practice is one pause and one word inside a routine you already run — not a second school day on the sofa.

What “practice” actually is
Get down to their level. Comment more than you quiz. Wait five seconds after you speak. Offer a real choice with two things in your hands. Say it one word longer than they did. That is the work. It is also on speech therapy at home and in the talking program.
If every evening becomes a lesson, they will stop coming to you. Stop while it is still going well. Log a tick on the practice log if you want one. A blank day is information, not failure.
Urdu, English, both
Count words in every language the house uses. Mixing is not confusion. Growing up bilingual does not cause speech delay — we wrote that out on bilingualism and speech delay. Coach in the language they hear most. Roman Urdu guides if that is how you think.
When home is not enough
No words by 18 months, fewer than about fifty and no two-word phrases by two, strangers understand less than half at three, a stammer that has lasted months, or lost words. Then book the speech programme or a developmental assessment. Hearing first if it has never been checked.

How many minutes a day?
Five honest minutes inside a routine beat a planned half-hour that never happens. If you want a structure, use the talking home program rather than inventing a curriculum tonight.
Should I correct every sound?
No. Model the word once, clearly, and move on. Correcting every utterance teaches a child that talking is dangerous.
Screens as a teacher?
A video does not wait for your child to request. You do. If screens are crowding out back-and-forth, that is the first change, not a new app.

Yes — that is parent coaching, in person or online. A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes.
