What happens next

After the assessment: the plan

You leave with a picture you can say out loud, and a next step that is either a programme, a referral, or “watch and come back”. All three can be the honest answer.

A plan you can explain to a grandmother. Or an honest “not yet”.

If we recommend therapy

You hear which door — speech, ABA, learning, psychology, motor-skills, early intervention — and why. Frequency is part of that conversation, not a package sold before we met your child. Fees for ongoing work are explained before anything starts. How fees work, how therapy works.

If we recommend waiting, or someone else

Waiting is a plan if we tell you what to watch and when to come back. A hearing test, a paediatrician, a licensed OT, a psychiatrist — when that is the door, we name it. We would rather send you out than keep a child in the wrong hour.

FAQ

After — questions parents ask

Do I have to start therapy the same week?

No. Take the picture home. Ask the questions on questions to ask. Come back when you are ready.

Can I get a second opinion?

Yes, and we wrote a second opinion for that. Bring our notes. We will not make it a scene.

Will you write for school?

When it would help, a short page. See school plans.

What if I disagree?

Say so in the room. A good assessment can bear a parent’s “that does not sound like my child”.
