Specialist child therapy for Quetta families, without the long journey out of the province

Quetta sits high in the mountains as Balochistan's capital, yet families here have long had to travel out of the province to reach a speech therapist or child-development specialist. We bring that support to you online, in Urdu and English, with parents guided every step of the way.

Support for children and families in Quetta

Our centre is in Multan, Pakistan — we don’t have a branch in Quetta. For families in Quetta we work entirely online, in English or Urdu.

Quetta is a city shaped by altitude and distance. It sits in a broad valley ringed by dry mountains, and for many of the families we speak to, the nearest experienced speech-language therapist or child psychologist has always meant a bus or flight to another province entirely. When a two-year-old is not yet talking, or a five-year-old is struggling to sit and learn, that distance turns a simple question into a major undertaking.

We are the Inclusive Developmental and Therapy Center, and our physical centre is in Model Town, Multan. What we offer Quetta families is genuine specialist input delivered online, so the mountains between us stop being the obstacle they once were. You do not relocate, you do not sit on a waiting list in a distant city, and you do not lose days of work and school to travel.

Quetta homes carry many languages. Pashto, Balochi, Brahui and Urdu are all part of daily life here, and Urdu is the shared thread that lets us work together comfortably. Our sessions run in Urdu and English, and a parent who is most at ease in Pashto or Balochi can still follow everything, because we slow down, explain plainly, and coach you in the language of the home wherever we can.

How we help

Working with families in Quetta

Our team covers speech therapy, ABA and behavioural therapy, special education, child psychology, and developmental assessments, along with support for motor, handwriting and sensory-regulation skills. Founder Mahnoor Baloch is a speech-language therapist with more than five years of experience, and she leads a group of specialists who each take on the part of your child's development that needs attention.

For a Quetta family, the process usually begins with a developmental assessment over video. We watch how your child communicates, plays and responds, we listen carefully to your worries, and we build a picture together. From there, we agree a plan and meet regularly online. Between sessions you have our free 'Grow' tools, so a parent in Quetta is never left guessing what to practise until the next call.

Because so much of the change happens in your living room rather than a clinic, parent coaching is at the heart of what we do. We show you how to draw out first words during everyday routines, how to steady a child who melts down, and how to build the small motor skills behind holding a pencil. You become the daily therapist, and we stay the specialists behind you.

Why online reaches Quetta in a way little else does

Balochistan's specialist provision is heavily concentrated and remains very limited, and Quetta, despite being the capital, feels that scarcity keenly. A family that suspects autism or a language delay can spend months and a great deal of money simply getting in front of the right person elsewhere. Online closes that gap at its source: the specialist comes to the screen in your home, and the assessment can begin within days rather than after a cross-country trip.

There is a quieter benefit too. Children who find new places overwhelming often show us far more of themselves at home than they ever would in an unfamiliar clinic in a strange city. When your child is on their own floor, with their own toys, we see how they really communicate. For many Quetta parents that alone makes the online route more honest, not just more convenient.

Winter, distance and keeping therapy going

Quetta winters are cold and can close roads, and a plan that depends on regular travel tends to fall apart the moment the weather turns. An online plan does not. As long as you can get online, the session goes ahead, and the steady rhythm that children need to make progress stays intact through the seasons.

We also know connectivity is not always perfect. We keep sessions flexible, we lean on parent coaching so a single dropped call never undoes a week's work, and we make sure the home practice we set can be done with everyday objects you already have. The aim is a plan that survives a Quetta winter, not one that only works on a good day.

Local services

Getting help where you are, too

Alongside working with us online, here’s how families in Quetta can reach support in their own area. Processes change, so always double-check locally.

The provincial referral point

Quetta holds most of what specialist child support exists in Balochistan, so families travel here from across the province. That makes it the best in-province option for a hands-on assessment — while also being the reason online coaching is so useful for keeping things going between visits.

Larger government hospitals for an initial check

A bigger government hospital's paediatric department can carry out a basic developmental check and note a concern. Specialist speech and developmental services are limited even here, so ask directly what is available and where they would refer you next.

School support through the special education department

The provincial special education department is responsible for government special schooling. Ask which centre serves Quetta and what this year's enrolment looks like, as places and staffing change.

FAQ

Questions from families in Quetta

Do I have to travel to Multan for my child to be seen?

No. Quetta families work with us entirely online through video sessions and parent coaching. Our physical centre is in Multan, but nothing about your child's therapy requires you to make that journey.

Our home language is Pashto or Balochi. Will that be a problem?

It will not. We run sessions in Urdu and English, and Urdu is common enough in Quetta households that we can work together comfortably. We explain everything plainly and coach you in the language of your home wherever possible.

What if the internet in our area is unreliable?

We keep sessions flexible and lean heavily on parent coaching, so a single weak connection never undoes a week of progress. The home practice we set uses everyday objects, so the work continues even when a call is short.

How does the first assessment work from Quetta?

We meet over video, watch how your child communicates and plays, and listen to your concerns in detail. From that we build a developmental picture together and agree a plan. There is no travel involved to get started.

Who will actually work with my child?

Our team includes speech therapists, behavioural and ABA specialists, special educators and a child psychologist, led by founder Mahnoor Baloch, a speech-language therapist with over five years of experience. The specialist matched to your child depends on what they need.

Can you help with handwriting and daily-living skills too?

Yes. Alongside speech and behaviour, we support motor, handwriting and daily-living skills. Please note we do not have a licensed occupational therapist on the team, so this work focuses on practical motor and self-care skill-building rather than clinical occupational therapy.

Are the 'Grow' tools really free?

Yes. Our 'Grow' tools are free parent resources you can use between sessions, so a Quetta family always has something structured to practise while waiting for the next call.
