Where to start at IDTC
Contact Muhammad Salman Afzal, owner and director, to discuss an adult appointment. His published profile lists a BS in Applied Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology (ADCP), both from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. Ask who will see you and about their experience with your particular concern before confirming a booking.
You do not need to choose a diagnosis to make an enquiry. You might say that repeated worry is affecting work, low mood is disrupting your routine, or emotional reactions are straining a relationship. The appointment should be matched to that concern.
Adult counselling for anxiety, depression and OCD
Different concerns call for different conversations. You can enquire without choosing a diagnosis, and more than one difficulty can be discussed in an appointment. Use the linked service pages to understand the scope of support before booking.
- Anxiety: discuss persistent worry, avoidance and how these affect daily life.
- Depression: discuss low mood, loss of interest and changes in everyday functioning.
- OCD: ask specifically about OCD treatment experience and ERP training; general counselling alone should not be assumed to provide specialist OCD care.
How to choose a psychologist
A nearby clinic is useful, but location alone does not tell you whether a clinician is a good fit. Use the first conversation to ask clear questions and decide whether the proposed support makes sense for you.
- What are your qualifications and experience with adults who have this difficulty?
- What approach would you suggest, and how will we agree on goals?
- How will progress be reviewed, and what happens if I need another kind of care?
- What is the fee, session length, cancellation policy and approach to confidentiality?
Fees and booking an adult psychologist appointment
Contact IDTC on +92 301 6424265 to ask for an adult appointment. A brief description such as “anxiety support” is enough for the initial enquiry; detailed personal history can wait for an appropriate clinical conversation.
Confirm the clinician, adult consultation fee, session duration and follow-up charges before you book. Adult fees have not yet been published, so a children’s consultation price on this website should not be used to estimate your appointment cost. You can also ask about an online appointment if travel or access is difficult.
Visiting from Multan or nearby areas
Our in-person centre is in Model Town, Multan. Centre hours are Monday to Friday, 2–6pm; contact us to arrange an appointment before travelling. Parking and a customer toilet are available. The entrance is not currently wheelchair accessible, so discuss access needs or an online option in advance.
If you searched for a psychologist near you, check the address and travel time rather than assuming the clinic is in your neighbourhood. IDTC has one in-person location; an online appointment does not mean there is a local branch in your city.
When another professional may be needed
Psychological support and medical care can work together. A psychiatrist is a medical specialist; prescribing and medication reviews require an appropriately qualified medical practitioner. When enquiring about bipolar disorder, OCD or PTSD, ask specifically about the proposed clinician’s scope and whether specialist input is needed.
