What an online enquiry can cover
Adult enquiries may concern anxiety, depression, overthinking, emotional regulation, anger or other difficulties described in our adult services. Tell us your city and time zone and the broad concern you want help with. You do not need to send a detailed health history in the first message.
Online availability does not mean every assessment or treatment can be delivered remotely. The clinician should discuss suitability before care is agreed, including whether in-person or local medical assessment is more appropriate. If you are outside Pakistan, confirm that the clinician can provide care where you will be located.
Before confirming your appointment
Ask the centre to explain the practical arrangements so you know what to expect. IDTC’s centre hours are Monday–Friday, 2–6pm Pakistan time; confirm the actual appointment time directly.
- Who will provide the session, and what is their relevant experience?
- Which call platform will be used, and what happens if the connection drops?
- What are the fee, duration, payment arrangements and cancellation terms?
- How will confidentiality, records and any report sharing be handled?
Prepare a space where you can speak
A reliable connection, a charged device and a place where you can talk without being overheard make remote appointments easier. Headphones may help, but do not make a shared room private. Tell the clinician if privacy or technology is a problem instead of feeling you must proceed.
Agree whether a supporter will attend and tell the clinician who is present. Do not record a session without discussing consent and the clinic’s policy. Ask how to share any relevant information securely.
Know the limits of remote support
Routine online appointments are not an emergency service. Discuss how the clinician handles urgent concerns and when you should use local services. If someone is in immediate danger, seek local emergency medical help rather than waiting for an online response.
You can ask about changing to an in-person appointment in Multan if remote care does not suit you. Availability and suitability need to be confirmed for your situation.
