Behaviour support for adults in Multan

When a pattern of behaviour is affecting everyday life, the starting point is understanding what is happening and what the person wants to change. IDTC offers behavioural support for adults, with attention to their preferences, communication and circumstances.

What we can discuss with you

  • Situations that repeatedly end in conflict, withdrawal or distress
  • Communication needs and ways to ask for help or a break
  • Routines at home, in education or at work
  • Goals chosen with the adult, with supporters involved by agreement

Starting the conversation

Describe one recent situation: what happened beforehand, what the person did, and what followed. Include changes in health, sleep, surroundings or medication. This helps the team discuss whether psychological support, communication work or a medical assessment should come first.

Understanding the scope of support

Behaviour is not a diagnosis. Pain, illness, distress and unmet support needs can affect it. Support should protect dignity and choice; it should not be used to demand obedience or suppress harmless differences.

Read the background guidance: NICE: learning disabilities and behaviour that challenges. This source explains the topic; it does not certify IDTC or an individual clinician.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a family member ask about support?

Yes. You can ask about availability and practical arrangements. The adult’s preferences and consent should guide their care and who takes part; needing support with communication does not remove their right to be involved.

Are adult appointments available online?

Yes. Adult appointments are available in Multan and online. Contact Muhammad Salman Afzal through the centre to confirm the appropriate clinician, suitability, fee and available times. Tell us your location when arranging an online appointment.

What should I put in a booking message?

You can simply name the service and ask for availability. Detailed medical history or sensitive personal information is not needed for the initial enquiry. Ask how to share any relevant reports securely with your clinician.
